报告题目：Sparse grid reconstruction for Particle-In-Cell methods

报告摘要：

Particle-In-Cell (PIC) schemes are ones of the most broadly used numerical methods in kinetic simulation of plasmas. They are however strongly affected by the statistical error originating from the random sampling of the distribution function by a limited number of numerical particles. In this talk we will present a method based on sparse grid reconstruction which allows to reduce substantially statistical noise and perform 3D-3V simulations on shared memory systems.

  报告人简介：Jacek Narski现为法国图卢兹大学副教授，长期从事偏微分方程数值解研究工作，尤其流体方程、动理学方程的数值解方法进行了深入研究，并取得了显著的科研成果，已在SISC, MMS, JCP等国际权威期刊发表27篇学术论文。
